DVD requires some special processing. To author a DVD disk, the footage must be encoded (compressed) into MPEG2 format. There are two types of MPEG encoders, HARDWARE and SOFTWARE. Settings in the encoding controls can influence the quality of your DVD playback, hence, NOT ALL MPEG2 FOR DVD IS THE SAME QUALITY!!!
